According to a Ukrainian defense source, this strike, targeting the refinery in the Russian republic of Bashkortostan, marked a record in terms of range.
The source, speaking to AFP, affirmed that the operation was orchestrated by the SBU and emphasized the unprecedented nature of the drone's flight, covering a staggering distance of 1,500 kilometers. Additionally, reports indicate that there were strikes on two oil depots in Russia's Krasnodar region.

Following the strike, Russian emergency services reported damage to a pumping station at the Salavat refinery in Bashkortostan, which is owned by Gazprom, a major Russian energy company.
