Terma to Supply SCANTER 6002 Radars for Belgian and Dutch ASW Frigates
Terma secures a contract to provide SCANTER 6002 naval surveillance radars for the Belgian and Dutch Navies' new ASW frigates, enhancing maritime security.
Terma, a global leader in radar systems, has secured a major contract to supply four SCANTER 6002 naval surveillance radars. These radars will be installed on two Belgian and two Netherlands Navy Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) frigates.

Damen Naval, responsible for building the frigates, is the main contractor for this project with the Netherlands Ministry of Defense (NL MOD/NAVY). They will oversee the integration of the SCANTER 6002 radars onto the vessels. RH Marine, acting as the system integrator, will collaborate with Terma to ensure the radar systems are seamlessly integrated and operate at peak performance.
The SCANTER 6002 radar is approved by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and is well-known for its advanced features and high performance. It uses X-band technology and has multi-frequency capabilities, along with advanced small target detection algorithms. These features make the radar highly effective even in bad weather, providing reliable and accurate naval surveillance.
