South Korea Uncovers Russian Anti Air Missiles-for-Troops Exchange with North Korea

South Korea has uncovered evidence that Russia has supplied anti-aircraft missiles and other military equipment to North Korea in exchange for sending troops to support Moscow's war efforts in Ukraine. National Security Director Shin Wonsik revealed that over 10,000 North Korean soldiers have been dispatched to bolster Russian forces, a claim supported by U.S. intelligence. In return, Russia provided not only weapons to enhance Pyongyang's air defense but also economic assistance.

The revelation intensifies concerns among South Korea, the U.S., and other allies about potential transfers of sensitive nuclear or missile technologies between the two nations. This alarming development also raises questions about North Korea's ambitions in leveraging these deals for strategic military gains. The collaboration signals a deepening alliance between two nations heavily sanctioned by the international community, potentially destabilizing regional and global security dynamics .
