Saab Secures Contract for Future Fighter System Studies with Swedish Defense

Defense News ,Sweden :-  Saab has received a big order from the Swedish Defense to think about future fighter planes. They'll work on this from 2024 to 2025.

They'll look at both manned and unmanned planes and how they fit into a bigger system. Saab will also focus on developing new technologies and showing them off. They'll work closely with the Swedish military, researchers, GKN Aerospace, and other companies.

Saab's Lars Tossman says they're ready for this because they've already made advanced planes like the Gripen E and GlobalEye. They want to keep making new and better planes for Sweden and other countries.

Saab will also team up with others who are working on new technologies. They'll be part of programs like the Swedish Defense Innovation Initiative and NATO's Defense Innovation Accelerator.

While doing these studies, Saab will also be updating older planes like the Gripen C/D and introducing the Gripen E in Sweden and Brazil.
