Russia Producing 250,000 Artillery Shells Per Month: NATO Intelligence
Defense News ,Russia , NATO :- NATO's intelligence says that Russia is making a lot of artillery rounds - about 250,000 each month. This is much more than what Europe and the US can make combined in a year, which is about 1.2 million.
They also shared that the US and Europe together can't match Russia's production. They can only make about 1.2 million rounds in a year. This is according to a senior intelligence person from Europe who talked to CNN.
The US wants to make 100,000 rounds every month by 2025. But that's still much less than what Russia is making each month.
Right now, Russia is firing about 10,000 shells every day. This is a lot more than Ukraine, which is firing only about 2,000 shells each day. And in some places, Russia is doing even worse damage along the 600-mile front.
A company from Germany called Rheinmetall plans to build a factory in Ukraine. This factory will make hundreds of thousands of bullets each year. They're also building a factory in Germany that will make about 200,000 artillery shells in a year.
