Morocco to Acquire Javelin Anti-Tank Missiles with U.S. Approval

Defense News ,U.S :-  Morocco has been given the green light by the U.S. State Department to buy Javelin anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs). This deal, valued at up to $260 million, will be carried out through a process called FMS.

The Moroccan government wants to buy 612 FGM-148F Javelin missiles, including 12 for testing and training, along with 200 LWLCU command and launch units. Alongside the missiles, the approval includes dummy missiles, support tools, manuals, training for personnel, and logistical help.

Lockheed Martin and Raytheon, through their joint venture called the Javelin Joint Venture, will be responsible for fulfilling the order. These missiles will replace older anti-tank missiles in Morocco's arsenal and work alongside newer systems like Israel’s Spike missiles, Ukrainian Stugna-P, and Russian Kornet.
