MOD Collaborates with BEML, BEL, and MIDHANI for Indigenous Advanced Fuelling and Control System Development

Defense News ,India :-   The Ministry of Defence has recently entered into a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BEML Limited, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), and Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) to embark on the indigenous development of an Advanced Fuelling and Control System for Engines designed for heavy-duty applications.


The MoU was formally signed by the Chairman & Managing Director of BEML Limited, Shri Shantanu Roy; CMD of MIDHANI, Dr. SK Jha; and CMD of BEL, Shri Bhanu Prakash Srivastava. The signing ceremony took place in New Delhi on March 4, 2024, with the esteemed presence of Defence Secretary Shri Giridhar Aramane. This collaborative endeavor is aimed at harnessing indigenous capabilities to conceptualize, test, and manufacture an Advanced Fuelling and Control System that promises improved efficiency, performance, and reliability.


The joint effort will capitalize on the latest advancements in engine technology and control systems, with the primary goal of expanding expertise in the development of engine systems crucial for Combat vehicles. The MoU aligns with the government's commitment to fostering self-reliance and the creation of complex technologies within the country, in line with the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' initiative. This strategic partnership underscores a collective resolve to propel advancements in the field of defence technology, ensuring the nation's autonomy in critical domains.
