Lithuanian Armed Forces receive more JLTVs from US

Defense News ,Lithuanian & U.S :- The Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence has reported the successful reception of the final tranche of 50 Oshkosh JLTV military vehicles from the United States, concluding the original 2019 agreement for the acquisition of 200 vehicles.

With the completion of this delivery, the Lithuanian Armed Forces have now fully integrated all 200 JLTVs into their operational fleet, representing a substantial augmentation of their military capabilities.

In a strategic move aimed at fortifying its defense capabilities, Lithuania entered into an additional contract in December 2022 for the procurement of an additional 300 JLTVs. The delivery for this new batch is scheduled to commence in 2024, and some of these vehicles will be equipped with the advanced Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS) developed by Kongsberg.

This recent acquisition positions Lithuania as the foremost international customer for the JLTV, boasting a total order of 500 vehicles. Oshkosh, the JLTV manufacturer, has confirmed the production of over 20,000 units of these versatile military vehicles to date.
