Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant Installs Reactor Vessel for Unit 4

Defense News ,India :- In a significant stride towards India's clean energy goals, the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (KKNPP) has reached a major milestone with the successful installation of the reactor vessel for Unit 4. Russia's state nuclear corporation, Rosatom, proudly announced this achievement, marking substantial progress in the collaborative Indo-Russian project.

The reactor vessel, weighing an impressive 317 tons, serves as the nucleus of the nuclear steam generation system. Its successful installation marks the conclusion of a crucial phase in the construction of Unit 4, setting the stage for the subsequent setup of essential equipment. The project's focus now shifts towards incorporating components vital for the plant's operation, bringing KKNPP one step closer to realizing its full potential.

Nestled in Tamil Nadu, KKNPP stands as India's largest nuclear power plant, underscoring the robust technological and energy partnership between India and Russia.
