Israel Defence Forces Discover Hamas Terrorist Tunnel Uncovered in Shifa Hospital Complex

In a recent development, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the discovery of a Hamas terrorist tunnel within the Shifa Hospital complex in Gaza. Additionally, another tunnel was found in the Rantisi Hospital, and a significant cache of weaponry and ammunition was uncovered in the Al-Quds Hospital.

The IDF shared updates on the findings through posts on social media platform X. One post stated, "Exposing another layer of Hamas exploitation of three of the largest hospitals in Gaza: Inside the Shifa Hospital complex, a Hamas terrorist tunnel was uncovered." Another post mentioned the discovery of a terrorist tunnel inside the Rantisi Hospital.

The Shaldag SF unit, the 7th Brigade, and other Special Forces units played a role in exposing Hamas tunneling infrastructure within the Shifa Hospital. Moreover, they discovered a booby-trapped vehicle prepared for a planned October 7th massacre, containing a substantial amount of weapons and ammunition, as reported by the Israeli Air Force on X.

IDF, on X, also shared images of weapons and ammunition found in what they identified as the Al-Quds Hospital, emphasizing that these discoveries were made within the past 24 hours.

Simultaneously, in response to attacks on the northern border, IDF fighter jets struck several Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon. According to the IDF, anti-tank guided missiles targeted army posts near the Biranit base and the northern community of Rosh Hanikra. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in these attacks, as per The Times of Israel.

A video posted on X by the Israel Defense Forces on Thursday showcased Lt Col Jonathan Conricus touring the MRI building of Al-Shifa Hospital. In the video, Conricus highlighted evidence suggesting that Hamas systematically uses hospitals for military operations, violating international law. The findings included obstructed security cameras and a laptop discovered in an MRI room, currently under analysis by Israeli intelligence personnel. Conricus emphasized that the discoveries in the video are likely just the tip of the iceberg.

Furthermore, IDF fighter jets targeted the residence of Ismail Haniyeh, the Head of Hamas Political Bureau, located in the Gaza Strip. The IDF stated that the house was used as terrorist infrastructure and a meeting point for senior Hamas leaders directing terrorist attacks against Israel. Haniyeh family home is in Gaza, although he currently resides in Qatar, according to The Times of Israel. The IDF shared information about the airstrike on X, stating, "IDF fighter jets struck the residence of Ismail Haniyeh, the Head of Hamas Political Bureau."
