Intelligence Suggests 250 Militants Present at Launchpads Across Border, J&K Security on Alert: BSF
Defense News - A senior officer from the Border Security Force (BSF) revealed on Saturday that approximately 250 to 300 militants are presently situated at launchpads along the border, anticipating an opportunity to infiltrate into Jammu and Kashmir. Despite this, the officer reassured the public that security forces remain on high alert and are well-prepared to thwart any cross-border infiltration attempts.
Speaking in the Pulwama district of south Kashmir, Inspector General Ashok Yadav emphasized the intelligence inputs indicating the presence of militants at launchpads. He assured the reporters that both the BSF and the Army have effectively secured vulnerable areas, maintaining a state of vigilance. Yadav acknowledged the dedication of the brave jawans from the BSF and Army, highlighting their readiness to prevent any infiltration.
"We have confidence in our ability to thwart any infiltration bid," Yadav stated, expressing the determination of the security forces. He also noted the strengthened connection between the security forces and the people of Kashmir over the past few years. Yadav emphasized the importance of cooperation from the local population, stating that with their support, developmental activities could be advanced more effectively in the region.
