Indonesia Receive 10 Turkish ‘Kaplan’ Tanks

Defense News ,Indonesia :-  The Indonesian Army recently got 10 new tanks from Turkey to make its defense stronger.

These tanks, called Kaplan (Tiger), were given to Indonesia in a ceremony by President-elect Prabowo Subianto.

The tanks come with 7.62-millimeter machine guns and lightweight turrets operated by two people.

They also have special warning systems to detect lasers, and they're better protected against bullets and landmines.

The company in Turkey that made these tanks, FNSS, says they are very versatile. They can do the job of both heavy battle tanks and lighter armored vehicles, making them useful for many different kinds of military tasks.

The first set of Kaplan tanks arrived in Jakarta in March 2022. This delivery is part of a deal made back in 2015.

Indonesia is not just getting tanks from Turkey. They also signed a deal to build 12 ANKA drones together.

These drones will help Indonesia's military gather information better through surveillance and other intelligence tasks.

Indonesia trusts Turkey to help because Turkey is known for making advanced military equipment.

Before this, Indonesia also made a deal with a Turkish company, Roketsan, to get Khan tactical ballistic missiles.
