Indian Navy and IIT Kharagpur Team Up for Technology
Defense News ,India :- The Indian Navy and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur have come together to work on technology projects. They signed a paper today in New Delhi to show their commitment. Rear Admiral K Srinivas from the Navy and Prof. (Ms) Rintu Banerjee from IIT Kharagpur signed the paper. The head of IIT Kharagpur, Prof. Virendra Kumar Tiwari, was also there.
This means they will work together on new ideas and projects. They will do research together. INS Shivaji in Lonavala will help coordinate their work.
This partnership is important. It brings together the academic world and the military. They want to encourage new ideas and share knowledge.
