Indian Air Force Donates Mig-21 Fighter Jet to Pune Military Training Institute

Defense News ,India :- The Indian Air Force (IAF) recently gave a worn-out MiG-21 aircraft to the Military Institute of Technology (MILIT) in Pune. The purpose is to help train future armed forces members in technical skills.

Even though the MiG-21 had finished its regular flying life, experts from the Western Air Command (WAC), Repair & Salvage Unit (R&SU), and MILIT worked together to prepare it for a new role as a training tool.

The Military Institute of Technology thanked the IAF for this kind gift. The MiG-21 will be a valuable tool for courses like the Technical Staff Officers Course (TSOC), Naval Technical Staff Course (NTSC), and Defence Services Technical Staff Course (DSTSC) at MILIT.

By using a real aircraft, the MiG-21 will provide hands-on learning for MILIT students. This experience will help them understand the aircraft's systems, maintenance procedures, and how it operates, improving their technical skills.

The IAF's donation not only gives a retired aircraft a new purpose but also helps train future technical experts for the armed forces. This collaboration between the IAF and MILIT shows their shared dedication to excellence and innovation in military training.
