Germany Greenlights Major Purchase of 105 Leopard 2A8 Main Battle Tanks

In a decisive move to bolster its military capabilities, the German Parliament has approved the acquisition of 105 Leopard 2A8 main battle tanks. Given that the Leopard 2A8 is a modification rather than a completely new development, the first units are expected to be available by 2025. This timeline underscores the urgency of the delivery, driven by internal Bundeswehr assessments.
