The US State Department Principal Deputy Spokesperson, Vedant Patel, reiterated this support during a press briefing, acknowledging the necessity for the UN, including the UNSC, to evolve and better represent the contemporary global landscape.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk's remarks regarding India's absence from the UNSC's permanent membership garnered attention earlier this year.
