EU Agree to Support Ukraine Armed Forces with €5 Billion Aid

Defense News ,Europe :- The European council met and agreed to give more help to Ukraine's army. They decided to give an extra 5 billion euros (about $5.44 billion) through a special fund. This fund is just for supporting Ukraine's armed forces.

Josep Borrell, who is in charge of foreign policy for the EU, said they want to help Ukraine defend itself from Russia's attacks. They'll do whatever they can for as long as it's needed.

The European Union will use this money to buy both weapons and other things needed for the military. They will also use it for training. The EU and Norway will buy these things together from defense companies.

Now, the total amount of money in the fund for 2021-2027 is 17 billion euros. This is because they added the new 5 billion euros. Last week, the ambassadors of all 27 EU countries agreed to make these changes and give more support to Ukraine's army.
