China's Leading Memory Chip Manufacturer, YMTC says its Tech not for Military use After Pentagon list

Defense News ,China :- China's primary memory chip manufacturer, YMTC, responded on Saturday to its inclusion in the Pentagon's list of entities allegedly assisting China's military, asserting that its technology is not intended for military purposes.

In a statement provided to Reuters, YMTC clarified, "We have not supplied, nor have we been directed by any entity, to supply our technology for military use." The company emphasized that it is neither owned nor controlled by the Chinese military and firmly refuted any claims suggesting a threat to U.S. national security.

This development follows the recent addition of over a dozen Chinese companies to the Defense Department's list, designed to spotlight entities believed to be collaborating with Beijing's military.
