BSF Intercepts Drone and Recover Plastic Container of Contraband Item in Amritsar

Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Amritsar, Punjab, India, achieved a successful interception of a drone on Tuesday, recovering a small plastic container containing approximately 565 grams of contraband from a farming field near the village of Mode. The incident occurred during the night of November 20 , prompted by specific intelligence about the drone activity.

Upon receiving information about the drone, BSF troops swiftly intercepted the suspected device and detected dropping sounds in the vicinity of village Mode in Amritsar district. Adhering to established procedures, the BSF personnel promptly responded to the situation. A subsequent search operation in the surrounding area revealed a small plastic container suspected to contain heroin. The contraband, weighing 565 grams and wrapped with yellow adhesive tape, was discovered in a farming field near village Mode. Additionally, the container had a metallic ring attached to it.

This marks another instance where the vigilance of BSF troops thwarted an attempt to smuggle narcotics through a drone. The BSF emphasized their commitment to preventing illegal activities and maintaining security in the region in a press release.
