In Pakistan Election ,26/11 Mastermind Hafiz Saeed Son Talha Saeed Loses From Lahore

Defense News ,Pakistan :- In Pakistan's recent elections, Latif Khosa, supported by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), emerged victorious over Talha Saeed, the son of UN-proscribed terrorist Muhammad Hafiz Saeed, in Lahore's NA 122 constituency. Results revealed Khosa securing 117,109 votes, while Talha Saeed received a mere 2024 votes. Notably, Khawaja Saad Rafique, a leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), secured 77,907 votes in the same race.

Hafiz Saeed, founder of the proscribed terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, faces multiple cases in India. The political arm of Hafiz Saeed's outfit, the Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML), fielded candidates across all national and provincial assembly constituencies in the general elections held on February 8.

Preliminary projections indicate that PML-N secured 12 seats, independent candidates backed by PTI won nine seats, and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) secured victory in 11 seats. The delay in announcing election results, expected on Friday morning, was attributed to a "lack of connectivity" by Pakistan's Interior Ministry, citing security measures.

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif secured victory in the NA-130 constituency with 171,024 votes, while his brother Shehbaz Sharif triumphed in NA-123 with 63,953 votes. Shehbaz Sharif also won the Lahore PP-158 seat with 38,642 votes. Additionally, Sharif's son, Muhammad Hamza Shehbaz Sharif, secured victory in Lahore's NA-118 seat with 105,960 votes.

PTI leader Barrister Gohar Ali claimed the party's lead in 150 seats, expressing confidence in forming the government in Punjab, KP, and the Federal areas. Imran Khan's official handle shared a video of Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, emphasizing that any attempt to alter results overnight would be resisted and rejected by the people, local and international observers, and the media.
